ewwwww...salt on bread? ewwww...
I had never heard manteca before so I looked it up in my dictionary, it appears to be a unique word to the "cono sur" the three countries at the southern tip of south america. :) Just a little interesting trivia for you. :)
I agree. It's pretty yucky. It's not like the bread and the butter don't already have salt.
I'm teaching the teacher? Heh. Since I live with an Argentine, I'm learning Argentine Spanish.
yeah, there are many things I don't know. I only teach first (and second in the past but not this year) year Spanish so I don't use a whole bunch of stuff I used to know...hahaha
As I was writing my unit plan for teaching with technology, it just occured to me that I might pass along a site I have my students use a lot. It is a great site with word of the day, vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar activities. You can register for free and take the quizzes/tests and read the grammar descriptions.

Perhaps you have already been there, but I was just writing it into my lesson and thought of you. :)
I actually haven't been there. Thanks for sharing!
Wally!
It's great to hear from you. I thought you had fallen off the edge of the world.
I hadn't thought about the pelo.... word as one of my words of the day before, but now that you mention it, I don't think that I could give a good definition of it. I know I could use it in a sentence.
Abrazos y besos!
