Me too...I think everyone I could possibly owe money to contacted me in a 24 hour period. So now, I'm on damage control duty.
The first guy who called is getting paid at the end of the month.
I have to call the law firm back in the morning, since that's apparently when the person with whom I need to speak works. I'm either going to try to work out a payment arrangement with them or borrow the lump sum from my mom, and then make payments to her.
I'll go pay the Chinese food people their money tomorrow, so they don't pay me any more unscheduled visits at work. I'm still trying to figure out how they knew where I worked. Weird.
carrie- crazy stuff! but i must say, you're composure is impressive. i wouldve chewed out the supervisor, the chinese restaurant guy, and the attorney!
Maybe it's from answering phones all these years, and getting to the point that even when someone is shouting obscenities at me as loud as possible, I stay calm, keep my voice even, and direct them back to the business at hand.
Oh, and I've got even more great financial news. My direct deposit got screwed up today. The person who actually entered it in to post it to my account dropped the digit in the "hundreds" place, so I got a deposit of a whopping 72.xx for 2 weeks of work. I spent my entire lunch break on the phone with the bank trying to get it straightened out. The rest of the money is now forthcoming, and should be in my account tomorrow morning. We'll see. I hope it is.
I almost hate to say it, but is there anything else that's going to happen? I'd rather get it all out now, so I can work my magic, and get things fixed.
