I donated blood today

I've never been a blood donor before. Don't ask me why I chose today to start. The American Red Cross comes to my workplace several times a year for on-site collections. Anyway, I did it. It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. I kind of enjoyed watching my little collection bag fill up while I was sitting there fondling the ball they supplied. Will I do it again? Maybe. They have my name and phone number now. I'm sure I'll start getting calls from them. My blood type is O+. Almost the universal donor. My husband has an uncommon blood type. He's AB. I don't know the Rh factor on him off hand.

Maybe my blood will save someone's life this holiday season. That thought makes me happy.
