Going to work today
I knew it was too much to ask for -- that we'd be closed again today. Yesterday, the entire company here was closed, call center operations included. The plan for today before getting all the snow was that the rest of the company would observe the Christmas holiday today, with the exception of call center employees, which unfortunately includes me. We would work shortened hours, from 08:00-17:00, and then be closed tomorrow. Those of us working today get paid holiday pay as well as time-and-a-half for any hours that we actually work.
The announcement was made last night that we would be open under the inclement weather policy, meaning that everyone would need to report in by 10:00. I'm going to go ahead and try to make it as close as 08:00 as I can, which means that I need to leave shortly. The problem I'm having is that sometime between 11:00 on Wednesday and yesterday afternoon, I lost my employee badge. This is what lets me in the building. I sure hope that security will be in this morning, otherwise I'll be stuck outside the building regardless of when I arrive.

Oh I dread forgetting my Disney Pass when I head to work. Luckily our building is manned 24/7 and I can always get in. Hope the road and work allow you to get back home quickly.
I was able to get in. I called the security command post from my cell phone and they sent the Badge Nazi out to issue me a temporary badge for the day.
This one security guy is really a little too gung-ho about his work. He's the one I got to deal with this morning.
And I made it home fine, but not soon enough. It was a boring day, and several people left early due to worries about road conditions. By the end of the day, there were 4 of us and a supervisor.
