I've been trying to talk my husband into doing an audblog post for each of my words of the day, since he's the native speaker and all, but he declined. I would do it, but I don't want anyone to sue me because of hurting themselves laughing too hard. Maybe phonetic spelling is the way to go. Does anyone remember the commercials from a few years back for a program to learn Spanish phonetically? I think it was made by the "Hooked on Phonics" people. The commercial had someone spelling S-O-C-K-S. I don't think that makes any sense. Es o si que es? That means literally "it is or if that is."
Here's a site like SOCKS. Looks like this author is replacing Spanish with English words. I bought if for my home schooled kids and they love it. There are lots of free samples there to try before you buy. Good luck. Harry the home school dad
I checked out the website mentioned above, and it does look like it would make learning Spanish more fun for kids. The pronunciations are sometimes off, like saying "cone" for "con." All in all if I bought Fun Spanish!, I think my husband would probably just pack up and leave. He already says that my Spanish pronunciation is at times atrocious, and I don't think this is the product to help me improve that.

I need a phonetically spelled word to go with some of these. I would hate to mis-pronounce my new spanish.

Hooked on Phonics didn't work for me.
